*** Pause & Reflect ***

As a parent & a blogger, I keep seeing lot of stuff on social media where mom’s proudly share their child’s achievements in forms of videos & stories.

No doubt it can be inspiring & praise worthy but at the same time it might be creating a peer pressure on other mom’s.

This post is for all those mom’s like me who are still figuring out & waiting for their kids to speak fluently about concepts when asked in one go.

I believe my primary role is more of a nurturer & care provider where I can provide him with as much varied experiences through fun learning way.

After lot of self struggling thoughts on why my child doesn’t answer when asked him about different topics I am settling with only one answer that is giving him his space & time.

I am pretty sure every child picks up skills as per his interest & age and my child too will eventually pace up with time. No doubt we do lot of activities and I am sure those efforts won’t go in vain.

He’s indeed learning a lot in his own ways  but only because he doesn’t speak much on academic topics just gave me a little panic & aniexty attack last week.

But then, I paused & reflected on his overall personality development.

Sharing few thoughts that helped me reduce my stress for his academic skills:-

๐Ÿ‘‰ He’s anyway going to learn repetitive concepts in nursery, jr.kg & sr.kg with different levels of understanding.

๐Ÿ‘‰ He just needs the right exposure to become more confident & we are working towards it.

๐Ÿ‘‰ I admire the way he’s developed caring, sharing & kindness towards everyone.

๐Ÿ‘‰ He’s more interested in the process of anything & everything which will stay longer with him.

๐Ÿ‘‰ I just need to trust him with his abilities.

These thoughts just gave me the strength to deal with all the self doubts that I came across.

I hope you can relate to this & would start trusting your child more than comparing.

Love,
@little_born_tales
