*** A Visit to the Zoo ***

Situated in the heart of mumbai City known as ‘Veermata Jijabai Udyan Zoo’ also called as Byculla Zoo has been wonderfully redeveloped  & finally set open for visitors.

I am glad they didn’t just renovate but also got in some great wild animals and have created an ecosystem as per their habitats.

It was a quick plan to visit with our school mom’s group so that our kids could casually interact and know each other better.

The zoo is well designed &  inspired by international standards. Lot of open space & cleanliness is maintained throughout the place. You’re not allowed to litter or carry plastic items.

You can witness lot of greenary inside and benches/Hut Style sitting at intervals. You may find few of the places apt for your selfies /group pictures.

Do hear some new birds humming, turtles & baby penguins. Though Spotting Tiger, Leopard, Deer & Bear through glass windows may just level up your zoo game.

The staff inside are cooperative so don’t miss to ask a few questions about the animals & their habits to get hands on information from the care taker themselves.

Since, it’s already hot in mumbai it’s advisable to carry lot of water & snacks if you have kids along. Lot to walk inside so a stroller or a tricycle would help with toddler’s or wear comfortable clothes & shoes.

So Mumbaikar’s finally have a proper functional zoo with world class standards to experience the wildlife in the urban city.

However, with the rising cases do your research and then venture for such long day trip with kids. Always mask up & social distance at such places.

Let me know how did you like our zoo experience & stories in comments. 
